Floral Sky (formerly known as “In Space”), is a Singapore-based indie-alternative/power-pop band 

created and led

by Juan Sawit, which was started in 2017 as a solo

project. Writing with his heart on his sleeve, he creates

songs stemming from experiences from his life. Much of

his music is inspired by artists like Fazerdaze,

Beabadoobee and Dayglow – finding beauty in the lo-fi

aspect of indie.

To date, Floral Sky has released 3 full-length EPs: “In

Space EP” (2019), “Everything’s Okay” (2021) and “Count

The Days” (2023), which were solely written and produced

by himself in the confines of his bedroom. One of the

tracks, "The Aviator", was featured on New Music Friday, a curated Spotify playlist.

Floral Sky has also released 4 singles, one of which is called “Fade”, which was

produced by Leonard Soosay through the SCAPE Alt. Programme, and “Inside Out”,

which was self-produced. They have also performed for shows like *SCAPE Music Day

Out 2021, hosted and performed in various shows since 2022 under the collective “The

Sensuals”, performed for ITE Rock Central 2024, was featured on Music and Drama

Company’s Homegrown, completed the *SCAPE Aspiring Musicians Programme 2025

(AMP2025), and most recently, embarked on their debut international tour to Tokyo in

April 2026.

Today, Floral Sky is a fully-fledged band consisting of Juan Sawit (main vocals, rhythm

guitar), Saiful Marteen (lead guitar), Emmanuel Sto Domingo (bass, backing vocals) and

Henry Osman (drums, backing vocals). The band is currently working on a new EP, with

a new single - “Bright” set to release in late-2026. The upcoming EP aims to blend

shoegaze and power pop elements with heartfelt songwriting.
